TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Huggins, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date7 October 1903
DescriptionTelegraphed this morning in answer to Huggins' note in order to reassure Huggins about his letter to Sir Clements Markham, which was posted the previous afternoon.

Sends the revised draft letter to Captain [Robert Falcon] Scott, containing Markham's paragraph, for Huggins to sign. The Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] thinks it would be desirable and courteous to send a copy of the letter to the Admiralty for information, and suggests Huggins might write a short covering letter to Markham, in sending him the draft for signature, telling him that he proposes sending Admiralty a copy. If Huggins is not calling at the Society the next day, Harrison asks him to send back the signed letter, with any covering letter he thinks fit to write.
