Queries if Fowler's note means that he proposes holding an evening meeting at the Society on that day. Fowler's letter to Sir M Foster received this morning will have to go before Council on 22 October and in that case, Harrison thinks it should be supported by a letter from the Linnean Society definitely undertaking to publish the reports. Foster is away in Venice, but in the meantime Harrison will consult the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] on the subject. |
