Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Huggins, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 October 1903 |
Description | In discussing the Annual Report the previous day with the Treasurer and Secretaries, they concluded it would be better on the whole to ask Huggins to confine any reference made to Antarctic affairs to his address. This was done last year, when the subject was kept out of the Council's Report altogether, and they thought it better to maintain the sequence of treatment.
The other matter that Huggins undertook to refer to in his address was the Stokes Memorial, the history of which is, Harrison thinks, sufficiently contained in the Council Minute on the subject. Sends a separate copy of this [not enclosed]. |
