Description | Harrison apologises for the delay in responding to a letter he had not remembered receiving, and which Hartley referred when they met at a recent dinner, attributing it to the letter becoming accidentally enclosed with other papers.
He states that, providing he is given notice of one to two days, he can arrange for Hartley to have the Berzelius certificate for photographing. With regard to Dixon's paper, he sees no difficulty in obtaining permission for reproduction, but outlines practical difficulties as one of the plates is a lithograph, which is likely to have been rubbed off. The remainder are believed to be half-tone blocks and can be obtained as clichés from the printers. Harrison will enquire to confirm this view, and will order the clichés as soon as he hears from Hartley.
Harrison also sends thanks for the invitation to Oxford, which he will take up when he next has the opportunity to travel there. |
