DescriptionGeikie sends the thanks of the President of the Royal Society [William Huggins] to Heape's Committee for forwarding an advance copy of their circular concerning 'The Michael Foster Fund'. Following the President's consultation with the Officers, they have concluded that in spite of the great services rendered to the Society by Foster, they have insufficient information about the project and its present form to justify his offering any remarks on it.
