TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Alexander Buchan, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date11 February 1904
DescriptionAs requested, Harrison explains that, with regard to the letter received by the Royal Society from the Foreign Office, 14 August 1902, asking for the loan of a manuscript and books for the use of French students, the matter was laid before the Council on 11 December 1902 who resolved that the Society would be prepared to undertake such loans as outlined, but that each request would be considered on its own merit, and they also resolved that such loans must not be made without a specific order of Council. A letter to that effect was sent to the Foreign Office.
