TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs The Swan Electric Engraving Company
Date29 March 1904
DescriptionHarrison responds to their letter expressing pleasure that they obtained a satisfactory negative of the Lord Rayleigh portrait, and explains that he has been authorised to request that they proceed with the engraving for the photogravure plate in accordance with their estimate of £200 for a 13 by 11 inch engraving. He believes 200 copies will be needed, but will give a final number after Easter, along with his decision on the exact size of the paper. As he is not entirely happy with the specimen submitted, Harrison asks that they send a trial specimen on different sized papers to allow him to judge the effect.
