DescriptionHuggins responds to Lockyer's circular, and communicates the view of the Royal Society's Officers that a delegate of the Society should attend the meeting of his committee about the proposal of the Council of the British Association to move towards increased endowment of the universities. A decision about the Society's role in any deputation to the Prime Minister should be postponed until after Lockyer's Committee meeting.
