TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Rev F H Jackson
Date2 May 1904
DescriptionLarmor explains that the Mathematical Committee are, in general terms, favourable to publication of his results in the two papers sent to the Royal Society; however, as Jackson intends to publish similar work elsewhere, they will only grant such space in Proceedings of the Royal Society as is necessary to state his results. There is a suggestion that he omit the mathematically insignificant cases. He notes that it is unlikely that they will be able to give space in Proceedings for some time, and so encourages conciseness. He would be glad to return the manuscript for abbreviation if he wishes.
