DescriptionHarrison acknowledges receipt of his letter from Madras [Chennai] on 22 March, and states that he is forwarding Elliot's paper 'A Contribution to the Study of the Action of Indian Cobra Poison' via Messrs George Wheatley and Company, to allow Elliot to indicate his preferred extracts from the tracings for reproduction as illustrations.

Following reeceipt of reports, the paper's publication in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society has been provisionally authorised, subject to the referees' approval of Elliot's chosen illustrations. Consequently, Harrison asks that he return the paper and portfolio of tracings as soon as possible.
