TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to the Secretary, Zoological Society
Date12 May 1904
DescriptionLarmor brings their attention back to a letter of December 1903 from the Council of the Royal Society to the Zoological Society suggesting that they might appoint a small committee to meet the Royal Society's committee of Mr Bateson, Mr Boulenger, Sir Michael Foster and Archibald Geikie to consider steps towards cooperation between the International Catalogue as it relates to zoology, and the Zoological Record. Although no reply was forthcoming, Larmor informally heard that the Zoological Society were awaiting the completion of the first volume of the Catalogue. As this was published some time ago and the International Council of the Catalogue are due to meet on Whit Monday, Larmor suggests a conference prior to that time may be able to prevent the present expense of duplication of work.
