| Description | 1. Asks what course should now be taken on the paper by Sir Norman Lockyer and F E Baxendall on 'Enhanced Lines of Titanium, Iron & Chromium in the Fraunhoferic Spectrum', which was referred by Professor Joseph Larmor to Professor George Downing Liveing, who suggested modifications, which the authors have responded to.
2. Dr T Kirke Rose's paper 'On Certain Properties of the alloys of Silver and Cadmium' was passed by the Physics and Chemistry Committee for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', the author has added to the paper and sent in photographs. Would like permission to continue as the cost would be now £5.
3. Dr G Senter's paper 'Studies on Enzyme Action' was reported on adversely by the last referee, Horace Tabberer Brown, and in view of the letter from Professor Starling the communicator, two more referees were found who have reported favourably. Asks if he agrees to publication, or as the two favourable referees were physiologists Dr Augustus Desire Waller and W B Hardy, should the question should be referred to the Physiology Chairman. |
