TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Colonel David Bruce, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date21 November 1904
DescriptionAs Sir Michael Foster is due to go abroad for some time, his place on the Advisory Board for Tropical Diseases at the Colonial Office should be at least temporarily filled by another representative of the Royal Society. The President proposes to nominate Bruce. An important matter of organisation is to come before the Board soon, and there is no time to lose.

Geikie adds a very private note in parantheses that Bruce might even act as a beneficial drag[?] on the Prime Minister.
