TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Dr Peter Chalmers Mitchell, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date13 December 1904
DescriptionIt is necessary to compare impressions of results of the conference on 7 December, regarding cooperation with the Zoological Record and the International Catalogue Committee at which Alfred Bray Kempe, Sir Archibald Geikie, Larmor and other attended on behalf of the Royal Society. Larmor understands that a satisfactory solution might be reached at the upcoming meeting of the International Congress. If so, it is desirable that the Zoological Society should make arrangements to restore the measure of assistance which they gave to the International undertaking for the first two years' issue. The International Catalogue must be made satisfactory to Zoologists, and willingness was shown to bring the Zoological Record into line with the plan of the Catalogue. The subject in any case must come before the International Council.
