TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date9 December 1889
DescriptionRix is having the lists set up roughly in type, but will not go to the expense of correcting them as they will be of no use after the Committee. Five correctors have not sent in lists, and Rix has written to them. Professor Newton is noted as unable to attend, and he has sent no list, but Rix has sent him the Catalogue of the Zoological Society library to be marked with important serials and returned.

He does believe that Professor William Henry Flower and the person delegated by him should be asked to attend, or provide them with a list, as the Zoological Society list is imperfect and Newton appears too busy to make a list. Rix further believes that Mr Holt and Mr White would be useful participants, to inform him about present practice in cataloguing, and to get a specimen of the serials if wanted.

Rix has sent the Royal Society Treasurer, John Evans, the letter and report from Mr Murray.
