TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Right Honorable Baron Henry de Worms, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society
Date13 March 1889
DescriptionRix has heard that de Worms would be willing to have his name proposed for Fellowship of the Royal Society. As a member of the Privy Council, his name may be proposed at an ordinary meeting by means of a certificate signed by six fellows, which if allowed, is suspended in the meeting room and a ballot taken after the third ordinary meeting following the meeting at which the certificate was read.

With de Worms permission, Rix will prepare the certificate, and believes obtaining the necessary signatures will present no difficulties. He further explains thet if elected as a 'member of the Privilege class' he will be liable for an administration fee of ten pounds and an annual contribution of four pounds, or a compounded annual payment of sixty pounds.
