TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Charles Smith Wilkinson, Government Geologist, Department of Mines, Sydney
Date21 May 1889
DescriptionFoster, by direction of the Council of the Royal Society, replied to Dr Edward Pierson Ramsay asking him to transmit for inspection the fossil skull of Thylacopardus (Owen). Ramsay has stated that the skull is now in Wilkinson's possession, and so Rix makes the same request of him. Should Wilkinson be able to accede to their request, the Society will not keep the specimen for long and will take due care of it. The costs of transit and insurance would naturally be covered by the Society.
