Date5 June 1889
DescriptionIn reference to an interview held at the Royal Society the previous day with a representative of Messrs Clay & Sons regarding the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers', Rix informs them that John Evans, the Treasurer, called by and has stated that he does not object to their proposals, but does believe it necessary to retain the stock to supply copies to the Fellows of the Society at the previous price. Evans does not propose any exception for Eyre & Spottiswoode, who will be treated the same as the other booksellers.

Evans also asks to have their suggestions regarding title page, price and other matters, put into writing so that he may present them at the next Council meeting.
