TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Lawes, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 June 1889
DescriptionRix encloses a note from Mr Charles Whitehead explaining his inability to accept Lawes' invitation to the meeting on Friday, and a note from Mr R Hamilton Few accepting. Rix asks that Lawes send Few, on the enclosed postcard, details about the station as Rix is unsure whether Harpenden is the correct one.

He also sends, at the Treasurer's instructions, an incomplete copy of the Trust deed. Rix is yet to receive from Lawes the copies of the report which he was to due to distribute, but he suggests that they could perhaps be given to members of the Lawes Agricultural Trust committee at their meeting on Friday.
