TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Theodore Fry, Member of Parliament, 61 Queen's Gate, S.W.
Date17 June 1889
DescriptionFry's note has been referred to the President of the Royal Society, George Gabriel Stokes, and Rix is requested to state that the list for the Soirée is already overfull, but an application for a card of invitation from Lord Justice Fry might be considered. The application must come from a Fellow. Rix explains their difficulty, namely that space is limited and there was some discontent caused by overcrowding at the previous year's event.
