TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Sydney Howard Vines, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date18 June 1889
DescriptionRix states that Vines' abstract cannot be read next Thursday, unless they are in receipt of the full paper first. The forthcoming meeting will be the last of the session and so without the full paper, the abstract would have to be considered as a preliminary communication, to be printed as a separate paper. Rix recommends this course of action if the full paper is not ready, with the main paper to be submitted at the next session with a new abstract.

Rix must be informed of what to do, or he will do nothing. He reiterates the rule that no abstract may be registered or read until the full paper has been received.
