TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Secretary, Royal Society]
Date22 June 1889
DescriptionUpdate on matters of Royal Society business.

Rix has now received the manuscript of the Croonian Lecture, and asks whether it should go straight into 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' or be referred to 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'.

A new paper has been received from Dr John Denis Macdonald on 'Oscillatoriaceae', but he has been informed that the Society is in vacation.

The President has visited and taken a draft of Foster's letter to the Lord Mayor, wishing to modify it before Rix drafts it.

Rix encloses the German pamphlet [not included]. The envelope Foster mentions must be one marked for return to Professor Lankester, and so they have returned it to him.
