TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Alfred Richard Cecil Selwyn, Fellow of the Royal Society, Geological Survey, Ottawa
Date29 June 1889
DescriptionThe Ottawa Geological Survey applied via Selwyn on 9 November 1888, for 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' 1884-1885, which had been destroyed by fire. The volumes were sent on 6 May, but their agent, Mr Stanford, applied for the same, and so was informed that the grant had already been made, and so he will not send the parts in question.

Rix notes that Selwyn will probably have already received the Royal Society's dispatch enclosing 'Philosophical Transactions' for 1888.
