TitleCopy letter from [Herbert Rix], to Mr G Helmore, Parliament Wharf, Grosvenor Road
Date9 July 1889
DescriptionRix encloses an order for 20 tons of the best coals at 22 shillings as quoted. The Royal Society's porter and housekeeper is going on holiday on Friday evening, so Rix asks that the coals be all delivered by Friday morning or they will have to be witheld for two weeks. He also asks for a postcard by return of post informing them on which morning to expect the delivery.

Rix further notes that as the Royal Academy opens at 8am, it is desirable that the coals arrive as early as possible, noting that 6am would not be too early providing they are informed in advance.
