TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs C J Clay & Sons, Ave Maria Lane
Date17 July 1889
DescriptionWith reference to their note of 6 June the Council of the Royal Society have granted leave to cancel the present title page of the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers', and to add Clay's own imprint in the copies, volumes one to eight, supplied to them for sale. Rix has noted their prices for the public, and these will be advertised on the wrapper of the next number of 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'.

The 25 sets which they propose to keep in the warehouse can be supplied upon application. Until the 22 or 23 July the Society's book-keeper and stock-keeper are on holiday and so Rix cannot be sure if the 25 have already been supplied. If not, Rix suggests they defer sending them until the 23 July, if not inconvenient.
