TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Herrn Professor Kiessling, Domstraße 10, Hamburg [Germany]
Date26 July 1889
DescriptionRix reminds Kiessling that some time ago the Royal Society presented him with a free copy of their report 'On the eruption of Krakatoa'. Kiessling's own volume, noted to be held in high regard, is not yet held by the Library of the Society. Rix is unclear whether his volume was a private venture or an official publication, but asks that if it is the latter, that the body responsible for its issue could place the Society on their free list.
