TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date30 September 1889
DescriptionRix notes that he still thinks the decade 1883-1893 [of the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers'] ought to be ready before 1899, and that with some cheap additional labour for a year it might be published by 1896. If they do decide to aim for this and succeed, Rix believes it would be inconvenient to have to wait until 1899 for payment of the 1000 pound grant. Rix has written a memorandum to reconsider the matter at the first meeting of the Royal Society Officers.
