TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Autotype Company, Ealing Dene, Middlesex, W.
Date11 October 1889
DescriptionRix has received from Professor Edward Albert Schafer the proofs and originals of his figures, and Schafer has pointed out that the originals are marked with clear instructions regarding reduction of size and lateral reversal which he believes have been ignored. Rix states that this will make the plates 'confusing to the reader' and discrepant from the text, in addition to the fact that the three unsatisfactory plates might have, if the instructions had been followed, reduced to two satisfactory plates.

Rix states that they think the plates ought to be done again at no additional cost, and if they agree, Schafer will send the negatives for their use.
