TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Henry Francis Blanford, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date13 November 1889
DescriptionRix has been instructed to consult Blanford on the issue of placing of Geological Survey of India on the Royal Society's exchange list, which was raised at the last Library Committee meeting. He seeks clarification of the relations between the Geological Survey of India, the Indian Museum and the Geological Museum of India, including if all three exist and whether they are distinct entities.

Rix explains that the Geological Museum, India was on their list, before it was removed in favour of the Indian Museum. The Geological Survey have now written regarding missing numbers, but they were never on the list under that name.
