TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to F J Smith, Trinity College, Oxford
Date12 March 1889
DescriptionSmith's paper is to hand, and Rix asks if he has a communicator for it, noting that every paper has to have a Fellow of the Royal Society as its communicator to guarantee its suitability for reading to the Royal Society. It is a matter of form in this case.

Rix assumes it is intended for 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', and so asks for an abstract for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' and for the meeting. He also queries the meaning of the title 'Part 1. Chronographic measurements', and wonders whether it might be a part of the title.
