DescriptionRix responds to their letter of 13 January, apologising for the delay, and stating that their request was considered by the Library Committee in June, whose decision has since been confirmed by the Royal Society's Council. They are not inclined to extend the free list and so cannot accede to their request for a grant of their publications. He further notes that they have no surplus or duplicates for presentation.
