TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to John Evans, Treasurer of the Royal Society
Date15 November 1889
DescriptionRix has been investigating the history of the Fee Reduction Fund, and has found that a condition is that when the annual income exceeds 600 pounds per annum, the balance is to be spent on publication or research. For the first time this has occurred, with the income at 711 pounds, three shillings and eight pence, and so he proposes that it might be spent on the Lendenfeld Monograph. If Evans agrees and the transfer is to be made, Rix asks that he let him know at once as they are currently making out the balance sheet.

A postscript records that this has not yet been mentioned to Mr Keen.
