TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir James Cockle, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 November 1889
Description'The same to Dr [John] Rae & Col. Clarke [Colonel Alexander Ross Clarke] & Prof Rucker [Professor Arthur William Rucker].

Dear Sir James Cockle,
Will you be so kind as to make an effort to be present at the audit on Monday? Two of our auditors have fallen through, and if you do not come, we shall not have a quorum, which will be disastrous, for the interval before the anniversary is unusually short.
Yrs [yours] faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. RS. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
