TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Royal Navy
Date7 March 1905
DescriptionIs sorry to hear Scott has been troubled with further correspondence regarding Bernacchi's salary. Geikie thought the matter had been settled. The Antarctic Joint Finance Committee has voted enough money to meet the estimated cost of reducing and publishing the magnetic and other cognate results of the expedition, which is to be done with Bernacchi's assistance. The money is placed in the hands of the Royal Society. Bernacchi probably did know of these arrangements when he wrote to Scott.
