TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor John Wesley Judd, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date11 March 1905
DescriptionThanks Judd for the sight of Mr Woodward's letter, which does not promise well for the cooperation of the United States [of America]. As the British Government's participation was proposed by the Society to be contingent on the International Scheme being joined by France and the United States, it looks like an indefinite postponement, unless the Foreign Office determined to end the matter by doing what Germany has asked. Unless Judd wishes Woodward's letter returned, he will place it in the file of Seismological Committee documents.
