Date22 March 1905
DescriptionWith reference to the Secretary's letter of 19 March, it is desirable to know the following before approaching the Foreign Office on the subject of obtaining facilities for the Eclipse Expedition: the points at which the parties will land, whether any of them will proceed by war-ships, and if so whether it is desirable any of the crews should land, or whether the parties will enter Spain through ordinary ports. Once this information is obtained the matter will be put in train at once, on similar lines to those followed on previous occasions.
