Title | Copy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Sir William Turner Thiselton-Dyer |
Date | 30 March 1905 |
Description | The Chairman of the Botany Committee wishes to print Professor Hartog's paper in full in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' with a view to having it available for criticism by physicists. The botanists disagree. Encloses the whole correspondence on the matter [not enclosed]. Asks if Thiselton-Dyer agrees to the following suggestion; that the author select one half the illustrations for publication, that pages five to eleven be much condensed, and that the criticism of others be omitted. Larmor still thinks an enlarged abstract would be by far the most dignified mode of publication. Asks for advice. |
