TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor and Archibald Geikie, to the Secretary, His Majesty's Treasury
Date14 April 1905
DescriptionIn reply to G H Murray's letter of 18 March, while adhering to the views regarding the improvement of the Meteorological Service which are set forth in their letters of 5 November 1904 and 23 February 1905, they are prepared to nominate two persons who may be appointed by His Majesty's Treasury to serve on the Committee which they contemplate in connection with that service. The President and Council think that in the first instance such nomination should be renewed after a year. Subject to these conditions they nominate Professor George Howard Darwin and Professor Arthur Schuster.
