TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Mr [John] Milne, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date29 May 1905
DescriptionMilne's letter and manuscript were received. The Society is telegraphing to him that they expect to let him have a proof of the whole of his manuscript by Saturday. Milne can get Bernacchi to come down if he can, but Harrison thinks it possible that he may decline. In that case if Milne can arrange to come up to the Society and see Bernacchi on or before the date he mentioned, Harrison is sure the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] will send a cheque for Milne's expenses, so that his journey on 'Disocvery' business will not put him out of pocket. Shall be glad to see Milne and is happy to help him.
