TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor John Milne, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date27 January 1905
DescriptionNotes it will save time if on Seismology business Mile corresponds direct with the Society. Suggests 8 February for meeting of the Seismology Committee. If agreeable Geikie could propose to the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] that his expenses should be defrayed as they were last time, due to Milne's long journey. Encloses copies of the report of the International Associations Seismology Committee and of the remarks thereon which [Arthur] Schuster has written to be laid before the Council [no enclosures].

There are two distinct questions to deal with: what action should the Council take in regards to the report of the Committee of the International Association, and what shall the Society recommend to be done to secure that Milne's organization shall be adequately strengthened and supported.
