TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to the Administrative Secretary of His Majesty's Treasury
Date6 July 1905
DescriptionIn reply to the Administrative Secretary's letter of 5 July, number 12493/05, by some inadvertence the Secretary's letter of 17 December was not itself formally answered. The claim of the City Library of Gothenburg to a grant of the 'Challenger' publications was considered by the Royal Society but it was not thought to be a case where a complete set of these publications should be granted. The controller of the Stationary Office was requested on 3 June to supply the Gothenburg Library with as complete a set of the publications as could be made up from the broken sets.
