DescriptionThe President [William Huggins] has provisionally arranged with the President of the Royal Astronomical Society [H H Turner] for the joint meeting of the two Societies to be held at the Royal Society on 19 October to receive preliminary reports on the observations of the recent eclipse, but before using the notices for the meeting he asks if Callendar will be prepared by that date to make a preliminary communication on his observations.
