TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor G Chrystal, Royal Society of Edinburgh
Date9 October 1905
DescriptionChrystal's letter of 6 October, enclosing accounts of expenditure in connection with the observations of the Seiches of Loch Earn, has come into Chrystal's hands in the absence of the Clerk to the Government Grant Committee. From the documents before him, including the Minutes of Council of last July, it would appear the grant made to Chrsytal was a specific grant of £25, upon an application for that amount, and unless some further communication passed between Chrystal and the Society of which Harrison is not aware, he does not see how any cheque can be drawn beyond the sum voted, except as the result of a supplementary application to the Council.
