TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Alfred Bray Kempe, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date9 October 1905
DescriptionHas Kempe's note and has written to [Messrs] Harrisons. Explains why he cannot quite believe that the description given by Morley and quoted by Kempe, of the sales covered by the instruction is correct. Encloses a letter just received from Morley [not enclosed] in which he entirely evades Kempe's point of general principle as to the Royal Society's position. Harrison still strongly demures to the theory that it is the duty of the Society to distribute the copies to the United Kingdom either directly or through agents. All the rest of Morley's letter about the receipts is entirely irrelevant to the main question as the verification of sales which he there describes can be furnished from his account books.
