TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to William Abbott Herdman, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date28 October 1905
DescriptionAsks Herdman to look at the enclosed note from Professor Thomson to the Society's printers, and their enquiry of the Society [not enclosed].

It would seem that normally a charge was made for the plates, when an author has any beyond the gratis copies. Thomson says he paid Mr Wilson for these extra copies. In that case the printers can make no charge on him on the Society's behalf. Before authorizing the printers to cancel the bill against Thomson, Harrison would like to hear from Herdman on the matter as he probably understands what went on.
