TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date27 October 1905
DescriptionLankester's letter and Dr Archdall Reid's letter with reference to some suggested additions to his paper on the 'Function of Sex', have been considered by the Chairman of the Zoology Sectional Committee, and Geikie is directed to say that in view of the fact that both referees to whom Reid's paper has been submitted, recommend that the paper not be accepted, the Chairman has given instructions for the paper to be returned to Lankester as the communicator. Reid may modify the paper as he sees fit and present it again as a new paper. Encloses the manuscript herewith [not enclosed].
