TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to [Messrs Harrison & Sons]
Date1 November 1905
DescriptionRegarding charging authors for plates for private copies, the Society has received the protest the Messrs sent on from Professor Thomson of Aberdeen and they have also received a letter from Sir A Noble enquiring about a similar charge. In both these cases the authors themselves had paid for the plates and the Society has no right to charge them again. The fault was the Society's in not specifically instructing the Messrs.

Asks the Messrs to advise Professor Thomson that the Society instruct the Messrs to inform him that the charge was made in error and that the Messrs are cancelling the bill accordingly. The Society has written to Noble direct and the Messrs should cancel the charge for his plate also.
