Date4 November 1905
DescriptionThe President and Council have had before them the Treasury letter of 3 August on the subject of the participation of Britain in an international organisation for seismological research, and the report of the delegate appointed by His Majesty's Government to attend the conference on this question at Berlin on 15 August. The President and Council accept the suggestion contained in the letter and recommend that on the conditions therein summarised, His Majesty's Government should agree to take part in the International Seismological Organisation, and make the necessary arrangements to obtain Parliamentary sanction for the required expenditure.
