| Description | The Physics Committee have considered the referees reports on Wildermann's recent paper and are not prepared to recommend publication. They think the exposition so tangled it would not be intelligible as it stands and that all the mathematical theory should be removed as it is the same as that recently published at great length in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' and contains no new idea except the obvious development of the hypothesis of radiation being a factor in the phenomena. If the paper is reduced to one half and amended in the form of presentation and confined to an account of the experimental work, they will be willing to consider it again. |
