DescriptionThe President and Council have had before them the matter referred to in Mr Ogilvie's letter of 23 October and in a letter received from Treasury dated 3 August, together with the recommendations of the Society's Seismological Committee, before which all the correspondence and reports were laid. After full consideration the President and Council resolved to recommend that His Majesty's Government should join the International Seismic organisation on the conditions previously stated. These were enumerated in the Treasury letter, a copy of which is enclosed, together with a copy of the Society's reply [no enclosures present].
